Presenting and co-organizing at WCEE 2024 in Milan

A busy week at the 18th World Conference on Earthquake Engineering in Milan.

I presented on quantifying variability in collapse risk of non-ductile RC shear wall buildings in the Seismic Resilience of Aging Communities session — part of my PhD project on collapse risk of non-ductile concrete shear wall buildings. I also contributed to a paper on earthquake insurance penetration in India, presented by lead author Pratim Kalita.

I co-organized the Seismic Risk Models for Decision Support session with Tiegan Hobbs and Robert Chase, which hosted around 40 presentations across multiple slots.
